Video: Living legend Nick Offerman talks us through ‘Great Moments In Moustache History’

“Some say it’s symptom of manliness. Others, a cause – the moustache.”

Eoghan Doherty

Forget about your man-scaping and your tofu bacon *spits* – moustaches are where it’s really at.

“Some say it’s symptom of manliness. Others, a cause – the moustache.”

As Movember rolls around, the creative (presumably moustachioed) brains behind the famous men’s health movement have yet again called upon that most manly of manly men to help them in their cause – Mr. Nick Offerman.

The fine wood-worker and Parks and Rec star already taught the world how to grow the perfect mo this time last year, and now he’s back to expertly talk us through ‘Great Moments In Moustache History.’

No better Offerman for the job we’re sure you’ll agree.

From terrifying tales of hairy horsemen being “pleasured to death” by a horde of Babylonian concubines, to the restoration of monarchy to the Mushroom Kingdom by a moustachioed Mario and Luigi, Offerman covers it all.

Even “hairless upstart Oliver Cromwell” comes in for a grilling. Good.

One great present day moment they missed though – this dairy Derry farmer’s horticultural handy work as he expertly put the ‘mo’ into ‘mowing’ by brilliantly shaping a gigantic moustache into his field.

Enjoy the classy clip while JOE heads off to start growing our very own mo… just in case we ever need to subdue a charging rhino.

And here’s last year’s clip in case you missed it:
