This is just plain stupid…
We’ve all nearly gone down the wrong slip road at one stage or another in our lives (right?), but thankfully we always see the error of our ways without causing a great amount of panic amongst our fellow road users. Plus we are good at reversing, like, really good.
It is common sense that if you go on the wrong slip road into oncoming traffic, you stop, reverse back and go the right way. You do not swing your truck across three lanes of traffic… ever.
The footage was released by motorway police over in England recently. The driver was given a suspended prison sentence yesterday and while we understand that his reversing job would be much more difficult than a car there is still no excuse for what he does.
We urge you to be safe on the road and obey the rules of the motorway, but above all, just don’t do this…
