Now this is how you rock the boat…
We’re not exactly sure how this particular method of boat-launching was invented, but we can’t help but think that there’s something inherently Irish about it; ah sure just give it a big push, it’ll be graaaaaand.
Well, it turns out that the brave person who first pushed a giant boat into the water on its side was right as, due to fancy-pants physics and science and the like, the boat incredibly rights itself in the water after looking like it’s about to capsize and put a literal dampener on the celebratory proceedings.
The fantastic footage was captured at the launch of the Littoral Combat Ship on the Menominee River and it must be pointed out that this launch was conducted under the supervision of official ‘Big Boat Launcher Pusher Guys’, so don’t try this at home in the bath kids…
