Lunatic.

Whether it was jet skiers, Salthill swimmers or opportunistic kite surfers, the emergency services learned that there are only so many ways to urge people to stay indoors when hurricane-force winds are ripping the country apart.

And so to Tramore in Co. Waterford during the height of Monday’s storm.

A lone gentleman decided to strip down to his bare essentials and straddle a roadside monument, because… well, let’s be honest, we’ve no idea why and something tells us he wouldn’t do it twice.

If anyone out there ever thought of doing something this stupid, we have seven important words: Wind burns where the sun doesn’t shine.

Unpleasant.

We ran a quick poll on Tuesday morning in the wake of the storm, in which three people sadly lost their lives, the results of which proved that most people know when to stay in and watch an entire series of Parks and Recreation when the elements start to go from a bit frisky to downright dangerous.

If the video above shows the more stupid side of life, this is encouraging…
