We understand that some people have an irrational fear of spiders, but this is just ridiculous.
CCTV footage from America shows an arachnophobia-stricken man who opted to kill a spider by setting fire to it.
Unfortunately, the man was in a petrol station at the time and igniting his lighter caused some of the fuel to burst into flames.

Luckily, he was eventually able to extinguish the flames.
We’d assume that the spider was almost certainly killed, so at least the silly man could live to be an eejit another day.
