It really was a case of hopping aboard at Melbourne Airport yesterday as a stray kangaroo forced authorities to shut down part of the busy airport.
Cyrus as he has been called by rescuers, was already injured when he hopped into the domestic airport and rather fittingly was captured in the pharmacy shop.
Reuters stated that police briefly shut down the pharmacy as Wildlife Australia volunteers subdued and tranquilized the eastern grey kangaroo.
It is thought that the kangaroo had been injured after being hit by a car and maybe he was thinking of going on a vacation to put the injury woes behind him, but that never materialised and was instead taken to a local vet to be assessed and treated.
