Ryan Gosling is mortified when an interviewer gives him a tea towel with his face on it
By Genna Patterson
What do you do when you’re wrecked tired, someone is interviewing you seemingly against your will, and then they present you with your face, printed three times on a tea towel? Well, if you’re Ryan Gosling, you sink into mortification and hope you can leave by the looks of this video.
At an interview with Gosling for movie Gangster Squad, interviewer Grae Drake presented the clearly tired star with the hand-drawn tea towels. Gosling squirms with horror, rubs his eyes in disbelief and generally looks like he wishes he could run away from it.

He even says; “It's like the sun, I cant look directly at it,” and laughs with disbelief at the horror of the moment. You can almost hear him thinking ‘why is this happening to me?’
The tea towels are made by New Zealand woman Colleen Pugh, who sells her designs online as part of her "Dear Colleen" label. The tea towel features three hand drawn ‘versions’ of Gosling, presumably to suit all tastes, and is titled “Ryan ‘the charmer’ Gosling” at the bottom of the towel. It also features the line ‘Hey girl, I bet you'd rather be doing these dishes.’
In an interview with the New Zealand Herald, Colleen said, “I had no idea it was going to happen but do remember sending an order to Hollywood and thinking how funny and wondered if it was going to someone who knew him but never really dreamed it was.”

Reportedly Colleen said she started making the towels because he was popular with women and easy on the eye. Needless to say, the Gosling interview has increased sales somewhat.
She said of Gosling’s reaction, “I'm mostly just really embarrassed. I've only been able to watch it once." Colleen also made tea towels for the All Blacks rugby team during the world cup. We think that the Ryan Gosling one will make her mint after this video, so long as he doesn't sue her for the rights to his own face.
