On Smackdown last night, our very own Sheamus made a few more Father Ted references. We don’t know how this became a thing but we’re glad it did.
Earlier this month we brought you the news that Dublin’s own WWE superstar, Sheamus, had dropped a few Irish references into a chat with fellow superstar John Cena. Cena, along with most of the watching public, was baffled by mentions of All-Ireland, Heineken Cups and Johnny Logan but the icing on the very Irish cake was a reference to kicking ‘Bishop Brennan up the arse’, surely the first time the worlds of Father Ted and the WWE collided.
Now, we are pleased to tell you that the big fella is at it again. On Smackdown last night, Sheamus’s scene with Cena began with him explaining yet more Father Ted references, as you can see above.
We hope all this culminates with a Father Jack special appearance at Wrestlemania next year.
