Ford Motor Company today unveiled the new Ford Mustang – the first Mustang ever to go on sale in Europe in almost 50 years of production. The global reveal includes Mustang fastback and convertible models, which promise world-class levels of performance and refinement as well as a sleek design that retains the classic and key elements of what makes the Mustang so iconic.

Renowned photographer Rankin who created the imagery and film (below) to welcome the new car commented saying, “The Ford Mustang is the ultimate boys’ car, growing up my dream was to get one. Now it’s in Europe I may have to make that a reality.”

As for Sienna, the stunning English actress and model said: “Every time I am in America I’ve always rented a Mustang to drive so I’m very excited it’s coming to Europe. It’s a completely iconic car and it’s beautiful in real life.”

The car will feature a choice of engines in Europe, from 5.0-litre V8 engine to the all-new fuel-efficient 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine and you can expect to see a righthand drive version in Irish showrooms sometime in early 2015 – so there may very well be an extended Christmas for some petrol heads next year.

Before you ask, no; Sienna doesn’t come with the car…
