All other Super Bowl commercials can step aside, this ad will not be beaten
Personal injury lawyer Jamie Casino (what a name that is) is not a man we were familiar with, up until this Sunday when his absolutely amazing ad aired during Super Bowl coverage on local TV stations in Georgia.
Now we know that huge beer companies and car manufacturers blew a massive chunk of their advertising budget for the year on making something that people will remember for Super Bowl Sunday, but this ad is without a doubt our favourite from the day. We’re not too sure if all the back story is real (what with the shady characters paying crooked-lawyer-turned-good-guy Casino for his services) although it does seem that his brother Mike lost his life in tragic circumstances, hence the revenge angle that the ad is going for.
What we appreciate most about the ad, apart from the fact that the special effects budget is through the roof and the soundtrack is amazing, is the fact that Jamie Casino went out and got himself a personalised sledgehammer. Since the hay day of HHH in the WWE, we’ve not seen a quality personalised sledgehammer, and we are duty bound to respect that.
What with his last name being Casino and all, we have two possible taglines to go with the TV show that this ad will surely inspire, given that he’s already got a name for it in Casino’s Law. “The House always wins” and “Criminals are out of luck” are our best suggestions, but if they are looking for a scriptwriter, we’re free to put together a pun-laden show for them.
