If drones were around in WB Yeats’ day he probably would have written a lovely poem about this.
In the past, we’ve been privileged enough to have been able to feature stunning drone footage of major Irish towns like Dublin and Cork and now you can add Sligo to that illustrious list.
The video below has been on YouTube for the best part of a month but was only sent our way this evening by JOE reader Eugene Molloy; it shows Sligo from an aerial perspective and does justice to how nice a place the West of Ireland town is.
The drone footage shows Sligo by day and by night and at least some of the footage appears to have been filmed during the summer festival in August, when the likes of Sister Sledge and The Riptide Movement performed in front of sizeable crowds.
