Brought to you by Electric Ireland.

Will you be joining Pieta House for their Darkness Into Light walk on May 7?

Some of Ireland’s most familiar faces – including Miriam O’Callaghan, rugby player Jack McGrath and Fashion Power duo Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon – are among those supporting the march that will take place in 120 different venues that are hosting the event.

The event, sponsored by Electric Ireland, aims to raise awareness for the issues of suicide and self-harm in Ireland. 400 people marched in the first Darkness Into Light event – this year, Pieta House estimates that over 120,000 people will take part.

From Dublin to Darwin, Sligo to Sydney, thousands of people will be joining Pieta House for its annual Darkness Into Light walk on Saturday May 7th.

Online registration is open now, and can be done quickly and easily on the Pieta House website. Take this opportunity to be part of a truly special event.

The walks will start at 4.15am on May 7 and last for 5km, ending at around the time that the sun rises. Runners/walkers are advised to arrive at 4.00am to allow for parking.

If you can’t take part in the walk, remember that you can still help Pieta House by donating. Simply text PIETA to 50300 to donate €2.
