DO NOT, WE REPEAT, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME
We like a bet here, and we’re usually stuck for cash too, but we’re pretty sure we wouldn’t try and smash our heads through a coffee table to win €24.
But we’re not Nottingham student ‘Luggy’ Jeffrey. The third year Geography and Business student was bet £20 that he couldn’t smash his head through a coffee table. With a few beers onboard, Jeffrey decided it was a great idea and went for it with considerable force, slamming his head successfully through the table.
That was bad enough, but then one of the onlookers decides to flip poor old Jeffrey over, an insanely dangerous thing to do to a man with his head trapped in a table.
Warning: There’s a bit of swearing here so stick in the headphones if at work/in the library/on the bus
Luckily, he escaped unscathed but as he told the University paper, by the time he spent £15 on a new table, his only ended up with a £5 profit.
Hopefully, that’s a lesson learned.
