Holy moly, these people have money. Lots of it. As anonymous voiceover man says as he’s anonymously voicing over the the top of the action, “if you’re a police officer looking after a city that’s fixated on wealth and image, you’re going to have to do it in style.”
Meet the Dubai police fleet, worth around a whopping €5 million and consisting of a Ferrari, Mercedes, Audi, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McClaren, Bentley, Ford Mustang and a Nissan GTR. They even have one car that has them there fancy door-opening-up-the-ways-type-things. Wow.
The fastest car in the fleet, a Bugatti Veyron, can go from 0 to 60mph in 2.5 seconds and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 267mph. That’s like, really, really, really fast.
In actuality, as opposed to being used to chase down fleeing perps, the class cars in this fantastic fleet are used as more of a PR gimmick, with friendly crowds flocking to see the police force in action.
