VIDEO: They’re making the most of the flooding in Westmeath with this makeshift waterslide

Carl Kinsella

No floods, nor any force of nature, can stop the almighty craic.

At this stage, we’re struggling to recall a time when half of Ireland wasn’t submerged in several feet of water, so if this is how things are now we may as well start making the best of it.

That’s exactly what they’re doing in Westmeath, where some people decided to put the floodwater to good use and turn their regular slide into a waterslide.

The slide itself looks like a tight squeeze, but it’s bound to be cheaper than the National Aquatic Centre, all the same.

Cheers to Lauren Revins for sending this video our way. If you’ve been doing anything interesting to make the most of the floods, let us know on Facebook or at [email protected]
