Video: This 19-year-old’s back garden roller coaster is quite cool

Granted, it’s not the Goliath in Six Flags, but we’re still pretty jealous…

Instead of spending the past few summers doing what most young teenagers do, David Chesney decided that he was going to build his very own roller coaster out in his back garden in Toronto, Canada.

Four years on and David finally completed his 28-metre-long wooden creation called, The Minotaur.

While it’s a pretty cool way to spend some time, it looks like The Minotaur’s days are numbered. Speaking to the Independent in the UK, David said: “My dad wants it out of the by the end of the summer but I don’t really want to take it down so I’m trying to find a new home for it.

“It’s a pretty cool thing to have and I don’t want to see it turn it into a scrap pile.”

In fairness to David’s dad, The Minotaur doesn’t exactly look like the safest roller coaster we’ve ever been on and the noise of it going off non-stop during the summer would probably get old quickly.

Still, at least it kept the 19-year-old busy during his summers.
