The Ploughing Championships well and truly hit the 21st century this week.

Featuring a cast of characters who clearly overdid it in the late '80s and early 1990s, the spirit of Madchester was alive and well in Screggan this week. With the volume down, it all seems like an innocuous céilí, some classic Planxty or maybe a bit of Sean Nós playing in the background. With the volume up, thanks to Jonathan from Chasing Abbey, it's a different proposition entirely. Spike Jonze, eat your heart out.
