The van has enjoyed a long and illustrious life so far and so the lads at Mercedes decided it deserved a little love, in the form of this brilliant short animation.
A lot of us have driven a van in our time for one reason or another, while some of us were even carted around in the back of them without seat belts whenever there was a Sunday afternoon football match, but not many people know how the van started off.
This clip gives us a look at the early days in Germany, along with some of the most popular vans in pop culture and it doesn’t forget to remind us that some of us probably wouldn’t be around today if it wasn’t for the van.
