We’d LOVE a go of this… but we’d let you go first.
English comedian/YouTuber/social-media guy, Tom Scott, recently took a trip to the foothills of the Dolomites, an hour or so north of Venice, to visit a restaurant that serves up a lot more than just hot meals.
The restaurant, Ai Pioppi, is home to a giant, human-powered, kinetic-art theme park playground and Tom tells us it was designed and made by a man called Bruno over forty years.
It looks incredible, but we can’t help bit feel just a little terrified watching Tom and his buddy spinning around on the bicycle wheel of death.
Here’s what Tom had to say: “I’ll be honest: I sort of thought it was a myth. The idea of unattended, huge kinetic ride-on sculptures was surely false? There was some evidence: a very artfully-shot documentary, and some shaky tourist footage, but I couldn’t quite believe that something this potentially dangerous could still exist.”
It most certainly does exist and if the video above wasn’t proof enough you can check out the Ai Pioppi website here.
