Some call them childish and immature, but plenty of people still get a kick out of a classic prank call… as long as it’s harmless enough and there are no serious consequences, of course.
Tipperary man John O’Heanain decided to try out a classic of the genre on an unsuspecting 11811 operator recently, asking for the number of a fictional couple from the most suspicious address you’ll ever hear this side of 123 Fake Street.
Despite the dodgy name and address, the diligent operator did his job and searched for the name in question, allowing John to sting him with the punchline right at the end of the conversation.
