Racing a car against a plane in a point-to-point drag race has been done to death, so the lads at FortyOneSix decided they’d create a world first when they pitted a brand new Range Rover Sport against an old Spitfire fighter plane…
Is there anything more British than a Range Rover racing a Spitfire at the famous Goodwood airfield? Well, apart from a tea and cucumber sandwich lunch with Queeny herself, we don’t think there is… Nevertheless, this off road race between the Range Rover and the Spitfire makes for a seriously good watch.
It seems pretty obvious as to who is going to win the race – it’s a 4×4 versus a fighter plane after all – but the result is rather surprising. We won’t ruin the fun, so make sure to check out the video above. And whatever you do, don’t be a spoil-sport and skip to 3.39 just to see who wins.
