Recently, the guys from SEAT Ireland invited some of Ireland’s top DJs out to Mondello Park to see who’s the fastest presenter in the land.

For one day and one day only, nine Irish DJs swapped their headphones for helmets as they raced against each other in the new SEAT Leon CUPRA.

There wasn’t just pride at stake, as the presenters were also racing for a €1,000 cheque courtesy of SEAT Ireland for a charity of their choosing. So it was serious business on the day – and in a serious motor too.

The line-up included, Dave Moore (98FM/The Engine Room Show), Ruth Scott (2FM), KC (Today FM), John Kenny (RTÉ), Dara Quilty (Spin 1038), Bobby Kerr (Newstalk), Colm Hayes (2FM), Dave Harrington (Q102) and last but not least, Conor Irwin (Radio Nova).

There could only be one winner and it was… drum roll, please… Radio Nova’s Conor Irwin who clocked a lap time of 1:15:47.

Conor choose the ISPCC as his charity and he’s pictured below accepting the cheque with the Director of SEAT Ireland, Cian O’Brien.

Recently, JOE’s Oisin Collins test-drove the SEAT Leon FR, so make sure to check out his review on the site tomorrow.
