Self-driving cars just got a lot more interesting…

What’s better than a car that car drive itself? How about a car that can drift itself? That’s exactly what the BMW M235i can do and it was recently displayed at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. BMW have been showing off their driver-less technology over the past few days and the 2-series in the clip above certainly shows us that it’s up to the challenge. In the video, the driver, or passenger in this case, hits a button on the centre console, which puts the car into ‘autopilot’. The car then demonstrates how it can manoeuvre around various obstacles and drift without any human input. It’s certainly an impressive piece of kit and it will be interesting to see what BMW does with it in the future.
