The Cú Chulainn Coaster is amazing.
Tayto Park in Ashbourne, County Meath premiered its big new attraction in the form of the Cú Chulainn Coaster.
It is Europe’s biggest wooden rollercoaster and I went down to check it out.
Construction on Europe’s Largest Wooden Rollercoaster and the first with an Inversion began last August with over 70 builders and engineers from The Gravity Group, Ohio working on The Cú Chulainn Coaster each day.
With over 800,000kgs of yellow pine wood used, more than 100 tonnes of steel and collectively over 700,000 nails and bolts, the rollercoaster reaches dizzying heights of 32.05 metres with a stomach churning drop zone of 31 metres.
Tayto Park opens for 2015 on Thursday, 26th March 2015 and will be open 7 days from 10am – 6pm. For Tayto Park opening hours and ticket prices, log onto www.taytopark.ie
The Tayto Park Bus will be running from Beresford Place to Tayto Park from Thursday, 26th March 2015
