He’s been called the ‘King of the Nerds’. He has been called other things we won’t repeat here, but this Georgia Tech student gave one hell of welcome speech to this year’s intake of new scholars.
Nicholas Selby is a sophomore mechanical engineering student and while many of the college newbies might have expected a mundane, run-of-the-mill type spiel, they got nothing of the sort. And Selby is clearly very proud of his college.
The passion, the background music and his choice of words has meant the video has spread like wildfire online.
Hard to imagine a similar scenario occurring in a third level institution in Ireland, but fair play to the self-proclaimed ‘badass’.
