Video: Who knew Conor McGregor had such a talent for Origami?

It’s not a skill you’d necessarily associate with a UFC star and it turns out that Shane Byrne and Jennifer Maguire have some pretty unexpected hidden talents as well.

It’s not a skill you’d necessarily associate with a UFC star and it turns out that Shane Byrne and Jennifer Maguire have some pretty unexpected hidden talents as well.

McGregor was showcasing his talent for Origami alongside TV and Radio Broadcaster Jennifer Maguire and former Irish Rugby international Shane Byrne as part of a 90” online video to launch Heineken’s search for hidden talents … with a difference.

From McGregor’s delicate Origami creations to Maguire’s piano performance with a (double-jointed) twist, not to mention Byrne ditching the scrum for the drums, all three certainly set the tone for the types of talents the premium beer brand is in search of throughout the video, which goes to show that “Everyone is legendary at something”.

You too can get in on the act because Heineken has launched a hidden talent search in Ireland with the hope of discovering an Irish person with an unusual hidden talent.

From now until March 2nd, Heineken is inviting Irish people to submit their legendary talents (with a difference) via Heineken.ie/IrishLegend. In exchange, Heineken will reward one lucky legend with a once in a lifetime trip to stay on their very own private paradise island in Belize. That’s right, their very own private paradise island in Belize.

The latest online video goes hand in hand with the launch of Heineken’s new global TV ad campaign, ‘The Odyssey’, which celebrates the premise that everyone is legendary at something.

Inspired by the ad, whether it’s limbo dancing under a sweeping brush, reciting 30 Irish names in 30 seconds or solving a Rubik’s cube (blindfolded), the stage has been set for one Irish legend to reveal their legendary talent.  From bird calling to bar tricks and everything in between, if it’s out of the ordinary and legendary Heineken want to know!
