It won’t surprise you to learn that this was filmed in Russia, where they do things a little differently than everyone else.
Go to enough house parties and you’ll soon find that people have discovered all sorts of ways of opening a bottle of beer (using a lighter, a spoon, one’s teeth, or in rare cases, an actual bottle opener) but this is certainly the most unconventional and indeed dangerous way of doing so we’ve ever seen.
As they should, the lads in the video above stress that safety is paramount – which begs the question why they would do the experiment in the first place? – and while you might expect that they would saw the top right off the bottle (of Coke in this case), how they manage to remove the cap is actually quite impressive.
It’s still ridiculously stupid and dangerous and we don’t think we need to tell anyone not to try it at home, even though we doubt if that message would have the desired effect in Russia given the amount of footage of mental stuff that takes place in the country that we see on a weekly basis.
