Not the smartest thing to say from the US Vice President.

St Patrick's Day is an occasion where all Irish people from the 32 counties can celebrate our wonderful country, culture and heritage but it seems that Joe Biden isn't quite able to match Oscar Wilde's levels of wit and intellect. Like the majority of taoisigh on St Patrick's Day, Enda Kenny is in the US today meeting with senior White House officials to discuss Northern Ireland, the Stormont Agreement House and Biden's plans to visit our shores in the near future. Barack Obama's most trusted adviser would do well to not repeat a gaffe like this, which was spotted by Daniel McDonnell of the Irish Independent. Enda Kenny's reaction says it all.
