WATCH: Cash truck topples over in America, drivers rush to collect it all
Police in the area have since demanded that the people who stopped to pick up the cash return it, lest they be charged with theft.
There are some things you just don't expect to happen while you're out driving. This is one of those things.
An armoured truck was driving in Atlanta, Georgia, when a side door flew open, releasing its contents onto the interstate. Its contents? Thousands and thousands of dollars in cash.
Cash was "all over the road", according to AJC News.
A short, yet bizarre, clip of the incident can be found here:

Madness. It's literally like something straight out of The Simpsons.
Police in the area have since asked the people who stopped to pick up the cash to return it, or they could be charged with theft.
They could be charged with theft of lost or mislaid property, which is a misdeameanour if the property is valued under $1,500.
You know what they say - nothing is ever free.
Investigators are currently trying to determine the exact amount missing, but local Sargaent Robert Parsons said the truck’s crew estimated it could be in the neighborhood of $175,000.
Now the only question is, what would you have done in that situation?
