It’s getting towards that time of the year again…
Summer 2k17 2017 is just around the corner and we know exactly what we can expect… reasonable temperatures compounded with lots and lots of rain.
But if you’re driving around rural Ireland, you’ll know you can expect to be greeted with an uncountable number of tractors, harvesters, balers and mowers as the silage season hits full swing.
We’re no experts in JOE but we can imagine there’ll be complaints out there that, “The growth this week was shite,” due to the drop in temperatures this week.
That didn’t stop the silage season getting underway down in Tipperary where Dunphy’s Agricultural Contractors have started making silage for customers.
With 250 to 300 acres cut by Dunphy’s already this year, according to Agriland, it’s only going to get busier from here onwards.
There’s something very soothing watching silage being made…
