You can’t beat planting trees on a windy day in County Clare.

This year, Science Week is all about Climate Action. Seeing as trees play such a massive role in controlling the levels of CO2 in our atmosphere, they are one of our main sources of protection against the effects of climate change.

Have a look at our guide if you want to find out more about the science behind climate change.

To that end, Eric Lalor and Louise Carroll teamed up with Science Foundation Ireland to plant 300 trees in a farm in County Clare.

Science Week 2019 takes place from 10–17 November, to get involved in the climate action conversation follow #ScienceWeek on social media. To find out more about the hundreds of events taking place throughout Ireland or for more information on Science Week visit www.scienceweek.ie.
