It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

With just over a month to go until the big day, it’s nearly become acceptable to start getting excited about Christmas. For anyone visiting Galway right now, it’s almost impossible not to do so, such is the impression being left on locals and visitors alike by the Christmas markets in Eyre Square. The Christmas markets have been a part of the festive season in Galway for six years and this year, with double the lighting features and a new addition in the form of a 32metre high big wheel, it’s better than ever.
