WATCH: Nando’s release hilarious anti-racism advert

Rory Cashin

Did you know that Nando’s is a South African company?

They opened their first branch in Johannesburg there in 1987, and as anyone who has been to any city centre pretty much anywhere in the world, they’re doing pretty well for themselves.

Over the years they’ve been heavily influenced by political stuff in their adverts, which has sometimes gotten them into hot water, like this banned advert they made making fun of dictator Mugabe Gaddafi.

Their latest advertising takes aim at racism, and they deal with it in the most amazingly lighthearted way. It would appear to be in direct relation to tirade of abuse sent towards Springbok rugby player Siya Kolisi and his wife for their interracial relationship.

Our favourite line has got to be at the very end when the girl mis-defines what a triathlon is. Classic.
