WATCH: Obama shows just how classy he is when dealing with a heckler

JOE

Can’t we just have him for another 4 years?

When Barack Obama was speaking at a rally in North Carolina the other day, he was booed and heckled by a Trump supporter. The heckler was an older gentleman dressed in a military uniform and aggressively showed Obama a Trump sign.

The crowd got on the heckler’s back, booing him, with one man trying to take the sign off him. Obama took a different route.

He tried to get the crowd to calm down, demanding they stop booing the old man. The heckler was thrown out, but Obama felt it his duty to address the situation in his typically calm fashion.

Obama spent a while trying to get the crowd to be quiet, before saying “Now, listen up! I’m serious, listen up. You’ve got an older gentleman who is supporting his candidate. He’s not doing nothing — you don’t have to worry about him. This is what I mean about folks not being focused.”

“First of all, we live in a country that respects free speech. So, second of all, it looks like maybe he might have served in our military, and we’ve got to respect that. Third of all, he was elderly, and we’ve got to respect our elders. And fourth of all, don’t boo, vote.”

The last line is favourite of Obama’s and the crowd knew to join in on the word “vote”, before erupting in applause. Legend.
