WATCH: PETA trick people into thinking they drank dog’s milk for ad campaign

JOE

A controversial ad campaign to say the least.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are no strangers to controversy, with past ad campaigns including a “Holocaust On Your Plate” advert, with the catchphrase “To animals: All people are nazis”.

There was also the infamous “Jesus was a Vegetarian” billboard that was erected in America, and now they are at it again…

The animal rights group have done an experiment, in which they give a number of people a glass of milk, and ask them for feedback. The people have no problem with the drink, with woman saying “It’s like a milkshake, but smoother.”

The people are then told that what they had been drinking was in fact “dog’s milk”. This didn’t go down too well with anyone. Some of the reactions include, “Promoting dog milk now? Instead of cow milk? Shame,” and “Would you ever drink that madness? Never.”

They weren’t actually drinking dog’s milk, it was just soy milk, but the people weren’t told this.

The point that PETA are trying to make with this ad campaign is that there is no difference between drinking dog’s milk and cow’s milk.

The ad closes out with the screen displaying the words “Dog’s milk. Rat’s milk. Cow’s milk. What’s the difference?”

An interesting outlook to have…
