“A route where you can truly lose yourself in the best of ways.”
If you still have holidays to take this summer and are undecided about where to go, you could do worse than take a spin on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Taking in some of the finest scenery the country has to offer all the way down the west coast, it’s been a huge success since it was launched in 2014.
It hardly needs any more selling, but Tourism Ireland, in conjunction with Smooth Radio, have put together a spectacular promo to appeal to holidaymakers in Great Britain this year.
The short film below shows renowned actor Richard E Grant travelling along the route, visiting places like Fanad Head Lighthouse and the Slieve League Cliffs in Donegal and Newport and Westport in Mayo.

Grant says of the Wild Atlantic Way that it is “a route where you can truly lose yourself in the best of ways” and anyone that’s been on it will find it hard to disagree.
