WATCH: Rory’s Stories’ light-hearted response to the recent dogs controversy in Meath

Conor Heneghan

Timely.

On Sunday evening, Alan Tobin, a county councillor in Meath, provoked a strong reaction when he posted on Facebook about his approval for the erection of signs in Ashbourne about regulations regarding the keeping of certain breeds of dogs.

Tobin’s stance on the matter encountered plenty of opposition in social media circles and on Monday afternoon, he defended himself in what was a heated discussion on Liveline on RTE Radio One.

Rory O’Connor, who many of you will know as the man behind the Rory’s Stories comedy sketches, is an Ashbourne native himself and he couldn’t help but deliver his own light-hearted take on the issue in a timely and topical sketch released on Monday evening.
