WATCH: This Donegal man Irish dances his way out of a tune you’d hear in Coppers

Colm Boohig

This guy has a serious future on the Irish dancing scene.

JOE reader Alan O’Donnell would probably provide a lot of competition for men on a night out, because if you perform a traditional Irish dance routine to a modern tune and somehow pull it off, you’re going to get a lot of attention.

And we imagine it would get a very positive response, not like our group routine…

We’re way ahead of our time.

Anyway, like another JOE reader in Kevin PrendergastAlan, from Donegal, is an Irish dancer who is seeking to gain a scholarship to the prestigious Fusion Dance Fest 2016, which takes place in Limerick from August 8-13.

This is his submission video, via Fusion Fighterswith Alan smashing it to ‘Light It Up’, by Major Lazer.

If you’ve ever heard the tune on a night out, you’ll know it’s a banger.

Have a gander at the short clip below.

Cheers to Alan O’Donnell for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
