WATCH: This Irish stag turned into a random music session on a train to Offaly

Colm Boohig

From Westport to Tullamore, where the craic is mighty.

We imagine there are a number of great impromptu sessions happening up and down the country this Bank Holiday weekend, but you’ll go a long way to find one as good as this.

JOE reader Damo Kearns was on his way back to Tullamore in Offaly from his friend’s stag in Westport in Mayo, when the group he was with broke into a random playing session on the train he was travelling on.

Damo told JOE that the carriage also contained a hen party, with both gangs combining when Mick Buckley, Paddy Buckley and Niall Kelly broke out the instruments.

Needless to say, the craic was something else.

We wish we were there for this session…

Cheers to Damo Kearns  for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
