Weather

And not a moment too soon.

There’s finally a smidgeon of good news on the weather front, according to the latest forecast issued by Met Éireann.

Today we can expect mild temperatures of between 14 and 17 degrees, “becoming mostly sunny by evening.”

Munster and Leinster will be even warmer again on Saturday, which Met Éireann describe as “mainly dry, with just a few passing showers in the north and west. A mix of cloud and sunny spells,” while temperatures are set to reach 20 degrees in some parts of the country.

Sunday will drizzle in parts of the country, but sunny times in the east: “A dry, bright start in the east with sunny spells. Cloud thickening further west bringing patchy rain and drizzle to Atlantic coastal counties during the morning.

“This light rain will slowly edge eastwards through the day, but likely holding dry in the southeast until after dark. A mild day in the east with temperatures reaching 20 or 21 degrees in any sunshine, typically 16 to 19 degrees elsewhere.”
