The weather for the weekend looks extremely indecisive

Carl Kinsella

Weather

That’s Irish weather for you.

Met Éireann’s forecast for the weekend weather is pretty all over the place, which is pretty much an honestly reflection of the weather in Ireland most of the time.

According to the national meteorological service, “Saturday will be a blustery day with scattered showers and good sunny spells. Southwesterly winds will be fresh to strong and gusty.” Temperatures will be between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. So… sunny and rainy, with a breeze that’s anywhere from fresh to dangerous.

And what about Sunday?

“Sunday will be another blustery and showery day with good sunny spells,” according to Met Éireann. We should have seen that coming.

The weather will get more decisive as the weekend wears on, but not in a good way: “Showers will become heavy and widespread during the morning, with the odd thundery downpour.” Temperatures should remain steady in the mid-to-late teens.

Just for fun, let’s throw in the fore cast for Monday. Drumroll please… “Monday will continue cool with scattered showers and sunny spells.”

Thought so.
