Millions of people around the world are currently going through some extreme weather conditions as a result of Hurricane Florence.

Conditions are definitely serious, as a number of people have been forced to evacuate their homes due to the weather.

But despite the serious nature of the event, one weatherman is taking a bit of stick for his performance in the storm.

Mike Seidel was reporting for The Weather Channel and was bravely digging his heels into the ground in an attempt to maintain balance in the adverse conditions.

At one point the wind appears to nearly knock him over, but he just about stays up.

It all looks fairly drastic until you see two lads casually stroll past in shorts, who are not one bit phased by the weather.

Have a look for yourself here:

People naturally gave him a bit of slagging on Twitter, but The Weather Channel have offered a realistic explanation as to why he may have been behaving like that.

In a statement given to Huffington Post, they said: “It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted.”
