Entertaining guests at a wedding can be a tough process nowadays.
The promise of a good meal, a few pints and a bit of dancing used to be enough to keep the crowd happy, but newlyweds are pulling out all the stops these days, employing all sorts of entertainers to fill in the gaps before and after the meal to keep potential boredom at bay.
Psychologist, hypnotist and comedian Jason O’Callaghan performed at the wedding of Victor and Georgina in the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe last Saturday and during the course of his act, he convinced one of the guests, a chap called Nathan, that one of his heroes, Conor McGregor, was in attendance.
Having been hypnotised by O’Callaghan, the guest in question ran enthusiastically towards the man he thought was responsible for arranging his appearance and then went looking for The Notorious under the tables and in the jacks.
He then posed for pictures with a man he mistakenly thought was McGregor and then jumped into his arms as O’Callaghan told him that it had been organised that he would accompany McGregor on a private jet to Vegas for a long-anticipated bout with Floyd Mayweather.
No doubt the poor fella would have got some land when informed of what he had been up to by his fellow guests later in the evening; safe to say he’s going to be seeing this footage for years and years to come.
