Weather

Saturday is the day for making plans.

According to the latest national forecast by Met Éireann, the weekend is set to be a game of two halves.

Saturday will be dry and warm, with Met Éireann predicting plenty of sunny spells and temperatures between 16 and 20 degrees, with those in the east and south getting the most benefit.

Sunday ain’t too bad neither, although it is set to be cloudier, with moments of rain or drizzle.

Sunday will be “Mostly cloudy, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, persistent in places. However, there will be good dry periods in the south and southeast and somewhat clearer conditions will develop in the north, extending slowly southwards later Sunday and Sunday night.

“Relatively cool in most areas on Sunday, with maximum temperatures of 14 to 16 Celsius, but it will be mild and humid in the south and southeast, with temperatures of 17 to 20 Celsius. Winds will be mostly light, westerly.”

Monday also looks to be quite a pleasant day, with temperatures holding steady at between 15 to 19 Celsius. Sunny spells are forecasted once more, as well as some light breezes.

The longer term forecast currently suggests “dry, settled weather” throughout next week.
