Maximum Media, which owns and operates the award-winning JOE.ie and Her.ie (who have just reached one million unique users), is Ireland’s fastest growing online publishing company and, due to the remarkable and extensive growth that we have experienced, we now have some exciting new job opportunities on the horizon.

Over recent months, Maximum Media has amassed over 2.7 million unique users across both title sites, as well as a 288k plus strong social media following. That’s like, loads and loads and loads of people.

In light of this, we are hiring for a variety of positions across journalism, sales, marketing, client services, financial services and administration roles. We are looking to hire 25 people over the next 12-18 months, with 10 coming into effect in the immediate future.

Journalist (Her.ie) – Full Time

We are holding out for a heroine. We’re looking for a full-time journalist who will work alongside our current dedicated team to bring our readers the news that interests them – whether it’s health headlines, entertainment news, travel, motors or the latest in fashion and beauty. Galleries of Ryan Gosling with his top off are also welcome (give the people what they want).

The ideal candidate;

·      Has relevant experience, full-time in an online or print position

·      Has an innate understanding of how social media works and how best to utilise it

·      Is interested in all the topics we cover for the site

·      Is willing to participate when we decide it’s moustache day. Roll with it.

Weekend Editor (Her.ie) – 25 hours per week

Do you live for the weekend? A lot of fun stuff happens over the weekend, and our readers want to hear all about it. Her.ie is looking for an experienced journalist to manage the site’s content, as well as all social media platforms on a weekend basis.

The ideal candidate will have;

·      Three years experience, full-time in an online or print position

·      Demonstrable news editing experience

·      Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritize

·      The ability to multi-task

·      An appreciation for Monday morning lie-ins

We are looking for a full-time journalist, who will work alongside our current dedicated, handsome team to bring our readers the news that interests and entertains them – be it sports of any kind (yes, four-legged sprinting is included in that category) films, televsion, gaming, motors, the latest in men’s fashion and style, fun features and honest opinion pieces.

The ideal candidate;

•              Has relevant experience, full-time in an online or print position

•              Has an innate understanding of how social media works and how best to utilise it

•              Is interested in all the topics we cover for the site

•              That handsome thing we mentioned earlier

•              Must be willing to win loads of awards like ‘Best Daily Web Only Publication’ at the Web Awards… which JOE.ie has just won coincidentally enough

Weekend Editor (JOE.ie) – 25 hours per week

JOE.ie is looking for an experienced journalist to manage the site’s content, as well as all social media platforms on a weekend basis. The Weekend Editor will bring our readers the news that interests them – be it sports of any kind, motors, the latest in men’s fashion and style, fun features and honest opinion pieces.

The ideal candidate;

•              Has 3 years experience, full-time in an online or print position

•              Demonstrable news editing experience

•              Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritize

•              The ability to multi-task

Marketing Manager (JOE.ie)

We are looking for an experienced marketing Manager to take the JOE.ie brand to the next level. We want to make JOE.ie the quintessential male brand both online and offline, tell us how you can help.

The ideal candidate;

•              Has 5 years experience in a similar role and a relevant 3rd level qualification is preferable

•              Has experience in developing, maintaining and delivering on creative marketing strategies to meet company objectives.

•              Has a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.

Marketing Manager (Her.ie)

We are looking for an experienced marketing Manager to take the Her.ie brand to the next level. We want to make Her.ie the pre-eminent destination for the county’s female population, if you know how we can do this, include it in your application.

The ideal candidate;

•              Has 5 years experience in a similar role and a relevant 3rd level qualification preferable

•              Has experience in developing, maintaining and delivering on creative marketing strategies to meet company objectives.

•              Has a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.

PA to the CEO

We are looking for someone to work directly with the CEO supporting all aspects of his work including communications, appointments, travel and accommodation amongst others. A magic wand is not essential but would indeed be handy!

The ideal candidate;

•              Has the ability to organise and prioritise tasks and manage complex delegated projects

•              Has excellent written and verbal communication skills

•              Has the ability to work at a fast pace with high attention to detail

•              Highly proactive and able to work on their own initiative

In-house Accountant

We are hiring an in-house accountant to carry out a variety of activities including the management of the payroll, invoicing as well as budgeting and forecasting and cash flow management. Chasing outstanding monies, and paying suppliers will also be a requirement of this role. Essentially your bark will need to be worse than your bite!

The ideal candidate;

•              Qualified Accountant with relevant experience in a similar position

•              Excellent analytical skills

•              Strong communication and organisational skills

•              Strong IT and system experience

Business Development Executive x 2

We are hiring a Business Development Executive to develop and sell innovative advertising packages across both JOE.ie and Her.ie. You don’t need to be able to sell ice to the Eskimos, just an outstanding ability to communicate our brand offering excellently.

The ideal candidate;

•              Has a clear understanding of the digital sales environment

•              Excellent communication skills

•              Impressive track record in sales

•              Extremely proactive and has the ability to work on their own initiative

Client Services Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intern to take on a role on the Client Services team. We are looking for someone to manage innovative advertising campaigns across both JOE.ie and Her.ie. Will need to look after everything our client needs, with the exception of their ironing or walking the dog!

The ideal candidate;

•              A recent Graduate of (or experience in) Digital Marketing, Marketing, Advertising, PR, Communications

•              A passion for digital media and online marketing

•              Extremely organised with great attention to detail

•              Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
