Woman in Wexford wins €50,000 on scratch card six months after winning the same amount… in the same shop

There’s being lucky, and then there’s this…

In April, a woman in Wexford must have felt like the luckiest person in Ireland when she won €50,000 on a National Lottery scratch card.

That is until less than six months later, when she won the exact same amount, on the same type of scratch card, purchased in the exact same shop.

The shop in question is the Kiosk in the Abbey Centre in Enniscorthy. The woman in question has remained anonymous, so if you notice anyone in Enniscorthy living a bit more lavishly lately, be nice to them in the lead up to Christmas.

The lucky woman has spoken about her delight, saying: “It’s amazing. I really cannot believe it!”

When asked what she did with the original €50,000, she said: “I bought a few things for the house with the last win and still have a huge chunk of it left. So this win will allow us to share it out among the family!”

She didn’t scratch the cards herself, however; her husband is claiming the glory there: “I was in the Kiosk and just thought I’d buy a Platinum just to try my luck again and I just cannot believe that it was another winner!

“My husband is claiming that he has lucky hands as he scratched both cards but I told him that it’s my feet that are lucky as I was the one who walked to the shop to buy the cards when I was out.”

Whoever is taking credit for it, we’re going to have to ask them to do a scratcher for us the next time they’re in the Kiosk.
