Will Ferrell holidayed in Donegal in the 1980s… and here are the pictures to prove it

Great Inishowen's Raven!

He used to holiday here so he did…

It’s no secret that fantastically funnyman Will Ferrell is a big fan of Ireland and all things Irish (just look at the JOE Anchorfan Trail for proof), but by Great Inishowen’s Raven, did you know that he actually used to holiday in Donegal!?

According to a great story in The Donegal Daily, the Anchormalin man visited Bundoran back in 1989 when he was dating one of local Sinn Fein councillor Jack Murray’s relatives, a lady who lived in California at the time.

Don’t act like your not impressed.

Jack told the paper, “our cousin came to Ireland regularly to visit relatives and on this trip she brought her boyfriend Will to Bundoran. They were there for a week or so and met all the family who lived there. He wasn’t famous at the time of course… but apparently he was funny but fairly shy and quiet.”

And here are the pictures to prove it as the Hollywood star posed with Jack’s uncle Dom, at Dom’s home in Bundoran:

And here’s the magnificent man himself playing Trivial Pursuit with Jack’s relatives:

Big thanks to Mark Forker and The Donegal Daily for the story.
