As the world descends further into geopolitical madness and climate destruction, it’s important to take a minute to recognise the truly important things.
Such as… who is the world’s ugliest dog?
That decision was made at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in California this week, and the most hideous, frightening, weird-looking pupper to come out on top was Scamp the Tramp,
According to his bio: “His black body hair does not grow & no matter how many trips to the groomer, Scamp’s hair naturally grows grey dreadlocks down his back all the way to his tail.” He also has no teeth, and nobody knows what kind of breed he is.
He works as a therapy dog, who plays with children and the elderly. Photos from the fair confirm that Scamp is indeed a very ugly dog.

Last year, the winner was the utterly hideous Zsa Zsa.
The World’s Ugliest Dog contest is eligible to rescue dogs, and is used to bring attention to the cause of adopting abused animals.
