How does a hair transplant work?
The hair at the back and sides of the head does not have these testosterone-sensitive receptors, so keeps growing normally. It is this hair that is taken and used as donor hair, through thousands of tiny grafts in a procedure known as Elite Follicle Unit Extraction, and implanted in the bald areas at the top and the front.
The most important thing is that the implanted hair doesn’t fall out, as it doesn’t have the testosterone sensitivity of the original hair lost to male pattern baldness. The hair continues to grow strong and healthy, and depending on the growth rate of each patient, you’ll see results within six months to a year.
Results
