Cheap trip to Chicago anyone?

Icelandic airline WOW air has announced fares from Dublin to Chicago starting from €159 including taxes and charges.

The offer on the one-way fare, which will include a stop in Reykjavik, is valid from today, 13 July on flights from Dublin Airport to Chicago O’Hare Airport for travel between October 2017 and March 2018.

WOW begin flying to Chicago from 13 July, with flights from Dublin Airport to Chicago operating up to four times a week, increasing to six weekly flights during peak summer schedule. Passengers can also avail of a stopover option and explore Iceland on either leg of their transatlantic journey for an unlimited time.

Commenting about the offer, Svanhvít Fridriksdóttir, Director of Communications at WOW air, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our Irish passengers more affordable travel to transatlantic destinations and to continue our mission to offer the lowest fares across the Atlantic.

“With its unique history and attractions, and the city’s deep ties to Ireland, it’s easy to see why Chicago appeals to Irish travellers. We’re delighted to add it to our route list and are pleased to be able to make the city more accessible than ever before.”

Chicago is the tenth U.S. destination to be connected to Ireland via Iceland since WOW air’s inaugural flight from Ireland in June 2015. The airline also flies, via Reykjavik, to New York, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto, Montréal, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Pittsburgh.
